Pancetta, Pea & Pasta (& a little bit of Green Beans too)

This lovely pasta dish is creamy, easy and rich in flavour; and so easy to make!

Ingredients (per person):

  • 70gr of Pancetta
  • 35gr of green beans
  • 35gr of peas
  • 5 curled nests of tagliatelle (or tagliatelle fino for a finer version)
  • 75ml cooking cream
  • pepper & salt, to season
  • knob of butter


Bring a deep pan with water to the boil and add a little salt and olive oil.  Once the water is boiling, add the pasta and cook according to pack instructions until al dente.  (Adding a teaspoon of oil to the cooking water will stop it from boiling over.)


In mean time heat up a sauce pan on a medium to hight heat and melt the butter.  Once melted, add the peas and green beans, and cook for 5 minutes till the veggies start to get tender.  Add the pancetta and fry till crisp.  Season with pepper and salt, to flavour. Now stir in the cooking cream and leave to blend for 5 -10 minutes.


Drain the water from the pasta and add the pasta into the sauce.  Toss so the dish gets well mixed. Serve hot in a deep plate, for an added touch, you can grate over some parmesan cheese.
